Sebastian + Barquet Gallery and Showroom, Chelsea NYC

The Sebastian + Barquet Chelsea design gallery and showroom has established itself as an important stop for the New York design community. The furniture gallery which was designed by the Mexican architect Enrique Norten, has displayed works by designers including George Nakashima, Phillip Lloyd Powell and Paul Evans. While its primary focuses are American, French and Italian furniture between the 1940's and 1980's, you will be quite surprised to find a wide range of work. Not only is Norten's design a perfect frame for each individual piece, but it utilizes each and every corner of this incredible space. I would highly recommend stopping in to the gallery during your next visit to Chelsea.
